Our Volunteers

I was introduced to Impact Outdoors during a Veteran Crane Hunt in November 2021. While participating in the hunt, I was deeply impressed

with the programs mission and overall intention. Since then, I have volunteered with Impact Outdoors in my free time and have become one of the programs main volunteers. I have contributed significantly to sponsorship engagements, fundraising, habitat improvement projects, youth education workshops, youth hunts, veteran outreach, and veteran

hunts. Additionally, I have acted as an ambassador for the program.

 I have been with Impact since the beginning, my involvement started with helping guide a waterfowl hunt for 10 military service members over 5 days.
My involvement with the organization is as an Educator for youth and a Guide for our veterans, I am extremely passionate about our wetland conservation projects and creating stewards of the lands through outdoor education, and providing fishing and hunting opportunities for our military service members. 

I got started with impact in the Fall of 22' on the Youth Crane Hunt as it was something I was drawn for when I was younger. It was so fun watching these younger hunters become successful and learn about Sandhill Crane conservation. My current volunteering is mostly duck and goose related from scouting, hunting, and doing conservation planning for our private land improvements. In addition to the waterfowl stuff, I also created this website! 

Jennifer Black loves storytelling. She became acquainted with Impact Outdoors in March 2022. She filmed the activities of the Kids for Quail and Conservation event, and subsequently made a short video, which won a national award. Jennifer spends her volunteer time with Impact Outdoors, camera in hand, enjoying every moment of being outside. Her favorite part of supporting the organization is seeing how much of a difference it makes to the participants, land, water, and wildlife it serves.
